Your question determines our approach
Our Philosophy
The most consequential questions do not divide neatly into disciplines. A business succession is never solely a legal matter, an international expansion never solely a financial one, and a question of wealth almost invariably touches on family and governance as well.
The advisory profession, however, is generally organized along precisely those lines: each firm works from its own specialism, and responsibility for coherence falls to the client. We work the other way round: we begin with your question and assemble the appropriate team around it.
What this means for you
— One point of contact, however many disciplines your question involves.
— One integrated advice, rather than a series of partial opinions.
— One party that takes responsibility for quality, coherence and execution
Our principles
Long-term collaboration yields more than individual transactions. A genuinely independent advisory relationship is superior to separate products and services, each with a revenue model of its own. And a complementary team that is fully attuned to one another performs better than a combination assembled for the occasion.
That conviction sometimes calls for restraint. In practice, it means that we also say no: to an engagement that does not suit us, and to solutions that appear attractive in the short term but cannot be justified from a strategic, cost or risk perspective.
Independent judgement also means having the freedom to express it. That is the basis of every engagement we enter into.
